Horse and greyhound racing hand prediction models plenty of figures to work with, but the terms of the bet decide what a correct call actually pays.

Each-way betting is the central term: two bets of equal stake, win and place, so the total stake is doubled, with place terms differing by race and operator and being stated in the market. The picture is completed by starting price, ante-post betting, non-runners and the Rule 4 deduction.

Racing is taxed on its own footing. Remote bets on UK horse racing remain at 15% General Betting Duty while the general remote rate goes to 25% from 1 April 2027, and pool betting is subject to Pool Betting Duty at 15%.
